Workshop
Who are the workshops for ? The workshops are open to any woman undergoing or about to undergo chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment for cancer. Every year around 7,500 patients use the service and to date over 50,000 women have been through the program.

What happens in a workshop ? Free two hour Look Good...Feel Better workshops are held in major hospitals and cancer care centres across Australia. They are conducted by specially trained and experienced beauty professionals who volunteer their time to help run the program. Participants (usually 15 to a group) learn techniques to deal with changes to their skin, loss of hair from brows, lashes and head as well as other appearance related concerns. Demonstrations on the use of wigs, hats, turbans and scarf tying are also included. The emphasis is on hands on learning, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Each participant receives a take home instruction booklet and
a complimentary kit of skincare and cosmetics which have been donated from the entire Australian cosmetic industry.

What else does Look Good....Feel Better provide ? Free educational materials and a Self Help booklet are also available for women needing assistance. These can be requested through the Contact Section.
